Architecture and seating at Three Monkeys Phuket

The seating areas are spread across several levels of the wooded hillside. Wood, bamboo and open structures define the design and connect the different spaces with the surrounding greenery.

Since the views, atmosphere and reservation conditions vary, it is worth choosing your preferred area when booking. A general table reservation does not automatically guarantee a seat in one of the most sought-after zones.

Monkey Dome and Monkey Nest

Monkey Dome and Monkey Nest are among the restaurant's most distinctive and photogenic seating areas. Monkey Dome offers a more secluded setting for two to four people. The higher Monkey Nest accommodates up to six guests and opens toward the surrounding greenery.

Both areas have their own pricing and booking conditions, which are worth checking before making a reservation.

Other indoor and outdoor seating

Beyond Monkey Dome and Monkey Nest, the options include the Bamboo Pavilion, open-air seating, larger areas for groups and air-conditioned indoor tables.

The architecture and hillside setting come through most clearly in the open-air areas. On particularly hot days or when it rains, an indoor table can be the more comfortable choice.

The menu at Three Monkeys Phuket

The extensive menu covers Southern Thai specialties and other Thai cooking alongside Japanese, Balinese and Western dishes. Choices include several curries, tom yum with shrimp, fish dishes, local vegetables, sweet pork belly in black soy sauce and fried rice. Aromatic herbs, chili and coconut milk shape many of the Thai dishes.

Sushi and sashimi broaden the selection, along with pasta, burgers and steaks.

Vegetarian dishes and a dedicated kids' selection are also available. If you follow a vegan diet, have allergies or need to avoid certain ingredients, it is still worth asking before ordering. Fish sauce, oyster sauce, shrimp paste and other animal-derived ingredients can appear in dishes that may look plant-based at first glance.

Combining Three Monkeys with Hanuman World

Three Monkeys is located directly on the grounds of Hanuman World. The adventure park offers several programs with ziplines, suspension bridges, abseiling stations, a skywalk and other activities. Depending on the program, the experience takes around 20 minutes to three hours.

A morning or afternoon zipline tour pairs particularly well with lunch or dinner at Three Monkeys afterward. If you want to combine an activity with a meal, it is worth checking whether a separate restaurant reservation is required. A Hanuman World booking does not guarantee a table in a particular seating area at Three Monkeys.

The activities have their own age and weight requirements as well as health-related participation conditions. Closed-toe shoes and clothing that allows enough freedom of movement are sensible choices. Some activities may be interrupted during heavy rain or thunderstorms, so current conditions and available start times should be checked before the visit.

Three Monkeys can also be visited without a Hanuman World ticket and independently of any zipline tour.

Reservations and the best time to visit

A reservation is particularly useful if you are planning to arrive at a fixed time or want a specific seating area. Monkey Dome, Monkey Nest and several other selected zones have their own booking conditions. Depending on the area, a deposit that can be redeemed against the bill may be required. Under the current conditions, any unused balance is not refunded.

If you want to see the architecture and surrounding greenery in daylight, come for lunch or later in the afternoon. In the evening, the paths, pavilions and elevated seating areas are illuminated and the atmosphere changes noticeably. Arriving in the late afternoon lets you experience both.

How to get to Three Monkeys Phuket

Three Monkeys Restaurant is in Wichit on the grounds of Hanuman World between Phuket Town and Chalong. When using navigation, select either Three Monkeys Restaurant or Hanuman World as the destination.

Three Monkeys and Hanuman World should not be confused with Flying Hanuman. Flying Hanuman is a separate zipline park in Kathu at a different location.

The restaurant is relatively quick to reach from Phuket Town and Chalong. From Patong, Kata, Karon and the northern beach areas, allow more time depending on traffic. A taxi, ride-hailing service or rental car are all practical options. Free parking is available on-site.
