Koh Lipe
Clear Water, White Beaches and Tropical Ease
Koh Lipe is one of Thailand’s southernmost island destinations, close to the Malaysian border and set within the island world of Tarutao National Marine Park. The island is shaped by crystal-clear water, bright sandy beaches and a tropical ease that can be felt from the moment of arrival. The sea plays a central role here. Coral reefs lie close to shore, longtail boats connect the surrounding islands and the days often move between the beach, the water and small paths through the village. This creates a stay that feels natural, relaxed and pleasantly uncomplicated. The beaches each bring their own atmosphere. Pattaya Beach is the island’s main arrival point, with restaurants, small bars and easy access to Walking Street. Koh Lipe feels most lively here, especially in the evening, when island life gathers between the beach and local restaurants. Sunrise Beach feels more open and quieter, with wide views across the sea, direct access to the water and beautiful stretches for swimming and snorkeling. Sunset Beach is more secluded and natural, farther from the central activity and shaped by a slower rhythm by the sea.
Even on a small island like Koh Lipe, location has a clear influence on the feeling of a stay. Central beach resorts, quiet hideaways by the water and smaller beach hotels show how different a stay on the same island can feel. Koh Lipe combines tropical nature, a relaxed atmosphere and easy comfort with calm days at the southern edge of the Andaman Sea.
