The Mooring Resort

The Mooring Resort is located at the eastern end of Ao Yon Beach, right next to The Cove Phuket Beach Club and Restaurant. Ao Yon, on the Cape Panwa Peninsula, is one of the last quiet yet truly beautiful bays in Phuket. Two white sandy beaches, separated by a rocky headland that is easy to cross, shape the setting here. Sheltered by Cape Panwa to the east and Chalong Bay to the west, the water remains calm throughout the year, with hardly any waves. This hidden gem, still unknown to many tourists, is visited mainly by local fishermen and families on weekends. On the remaining days, the beach takes on a particularly peaceful, almost secluded atmosphere.

The beach also looks out toward surrounding islands such as Koh Lon and Koh Hae (Coral Island), both of which can easily be reached by traditional longtail boat. Cape Panwa offers a variety of unique and authentic local experiences in a distinctly Thai atmosphere, just minutes from The Mooring Resort. This part of Phuket holds a clear advantage over the west coast, offering easy access to several islands. To the north of Cape Panwa lie Phang Nga Bay, Koh Yao Yai, Koh Yao Noi and the famous James Bond Island.
